Corporate Blog

Tokio Marine Insurance Vietnam (TMIV) will host the “The Journey of Joy” Art Experience Event on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at COMPLEX 01 Creative Hub (Hanoi).
It is part of an art education initiative “Joyful Education” for children on the autism spectrum, launched by TMIV in collaboration with Tòhe from November 2025 to June 2026. The event showcases the children’s creative works and opens a space for connection, experience, and understanding—bringing together autistic children, families, schools, and the wider community.
Art – The “Second Language” of Children on the Autism Spectrum
The “Joyful Education” project (Nov 2025–Jun 2026) features in-person art classes at special education centers in Hanoi, nationwide online programs for children with special needs, and a finale exhibition in July 2026.
Beyond the showcase, the event offers interactive zones and workshop corners—fostering connection, understanding, and inclusion while expanding future pathways for children with special needs. As awareness of autism continues to grow, creating safe, respectful, and empowering environments for these children is more essential than ever.
For many children on the autism spectrum, verbal language is not always the easiest way to express emotions. Art—through color, form, texture, and creative freedom—becomes a powerful “second language,” enabling them to observe, explore, experiment, and tell their stories in their own unique way.

With the philosophy of learning with joy, TMIV and Tòhe position art as a bridge for emotional expression—empowering children on the autism spectrum to explore themselves, build confidence, and expand their connection with the world.
The project is driven by a core belief: every child holds an inner world worth hearing, creative potential worth unlocking, and a right to live joyfully in the community. Each session is designed as a complete experience—combining warm-up activities, storytelling, hands-on art practice, and sharing—helping children gradually adapt to the classroom, engage with teachers and peers, and express themselves with growing confidence.

“The Journey of Joy” Art Experience Event – Celebrating Creativity, Honoring Every Presence
After months of learning and exploration, the artworks showcased at the event represent far more than the outcomes of art classes. They are meaningful milestones in each child’s journey—learning to observe, feel, choose colors, create forms, express emotions, and share their stories with others.
Over six months, the project delivered three in-person courses with 72 sessions across three special education centers in Hanoi, alongside two nationwide online programs reaching more than 130 children from cities and provinces including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Lao Cai, Thanh Hoa, An Giang, and Tay Ninh.
More than 1,300 artworks were created. Each piece reflects a unique journey of discovery and growth—capturing simple joys like blooming flowers or drifting clouds; cherished moments such as sweet home, family meals, and dreams for the future; or emotions that words cannot easily capture.
Beyond technique mastering, the true value lies in each child finding their own voice—connecting with the world in a personal way. This is a vibrant journey of nurturing creativity, building connection, and empowering confident self-expression—where every child experiences joy at their own pace.
