In Oct. 2022, the Ministry of Finance has issued Decision No. 2056/QD-BTC on the publication of the list of reputable insurers in marine insurance in which Tokio Marine Vietnam and 23 other insurers in the market are honored to be included. Evaluation criteria are based on factors that ensure effective operation including annual premium revenue, positive financial results and professional reputation/capacity of marine insurance managers.

Marine insurance is the insurance that the goods dispatched from the country of origin to the land of destination are insured. Marine insurance covers the loss/damage of ships, cargo, terminals, and includes any other means of transport by which goods are transferred, acquired, or held between the points of origin and the final destination. The term originated when parties began to ship goods via sea and later applies to all modes of transportation of goods.
